More Pictures!

1. Our lovely latrine :) This is toilet, shower, sink and washing machine with one drain.

2. The first American meal that I cooked here - spaghetti and green beans (notice Albert's growing mustache)

3. The first time I actually cooked here we had scrambled eggs (after I got squirted in the face with 5 or 6 rotten eggs we finally got some we could eat!)

Boy, the Allens are having FUN!!!!

We'll write more later -

Hello Allens,
Thanks for the pictures and all the news. So glad you are there and are getting used to your new living area. Looks so green from your window. I am glad. Hope you have a great vacation to Thialand. Keep us posted with news when you can.

It is good to see your smiling faces! I know there are many new things you are learning, but smiles will help. I want to hear about all those firsts. Thank you for including the first meal and the reminder about the size of families there. Have fun, laugh often, and keep learning.

Hi to the Allens,

My name is Lisa Gissendanner and we are friends of Darlene's and Mike's. They sent me your website.
We have a special interest in your journey there because we just returned home with our daughter who is from Hubei, China. She, of course, is a total doll baby and as sweet as they come~!!
I am sure I will enjoy your blog and my thoughts are with you and your family as you settle in, get used to Chinese life, and begin your new adventure.
Blessings,

Lisa

I finally feel like I have arrived. People talked about reading your blog and I thought it was a disease y'all had contracted already and looking at that growth that is forming under someone's nose, I thought that might be it. The scenery you have shown looks great and I definitely am glad to get this blog site so I too can keep up with the exploits of the Allens. Love you all, Perry
